A notary public is anyone who is approved or licensed by the department to document and ratify customary documents, and it includes the general notary, the private notary, and the government notary who is licensed by the department to practice the work of a notary public in his department to the public of dealing with it or its employees. The notary public is concerned with documenting the documents that the law requires or the concerned parties request to authenticate, ratify the signatures of the concerned parties at their request, and prove the date of the customary documents.
As well as documenting and ratifying all declarations in accordance with the law, and placing the executive formula on the document documented in accordance with the provisions of the law, and it is stipulated in the papers that they do not violate the law or public order or the jurisdiction of another party or from the prohibitions of the notary public according to Article No. “1” of Law No. 11 of 2017 regarding the notary public in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. The branches of the notary public are spread across the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and are distributed according to population distribution and the distance between the branches.
